You may get a job offer you with another corporation where the pay out is higher, but you remain uncertain if that ongoing work place will be better then the current one. After all, it isn't all about the money. Imagine if you later on change your mind? After all, this is simply not a straightforward decision. Of course your boss can forgive you and consider you back, but it is not guaranteed.
